"it's christmas! i can finally open my presents! no more feeling guilty that i ate all the chocolates in my advent calendar 10 days early!" those were my initial thoughts this morning amongst a stuffed nose and blocked ears. being sick during this time of year is not exactly ideal, but the joy around me relieves it so s'all good. was very close to pulling out of my performance at church yesterday, but when i arrived, there was so much tinsel and flashing lights everywhere that i made my dad drive me home to grab my guitar! he wasn't very happy. then at today's mass, was about to pull out again but just couldn't. couldn't. it's christmas and if i'm going to celebrate god's birth with germs and coughing and sneezing and inabilities to pronounce 's' sounds then i shall!

if this blog post ends abruptly and gets posted without any sort of finite conclusion then just know that my death was due to my craziness with mortein in an attempt to eliminate a spider that was crawling around my desk.

two days ago was the so called white boys christmas party! a big thankyou to their group for inviting me. the party was awesome and i had so much fun! funny, because i was forced to play cod a couple of times. failed at cod a couple of times. it's amazing how nice some people can be...especially when i'm on their team and all i do is walk around and shoot chickens and my own team mate. the atmosphere was so warm and daniel dog's is so cuuuuuuuuuute!

the most exciting part: kris kringle! the excitement from the very moment emily asked me to be a part of it, aw :$ was so flattered. the variety of presents was amazing and everyone liked their present! so this is basically the kk results as it stands, folks (where → stands for 'was the secret santa for'):

ysolde → andrew → shelley → george → tyrone → daniel → jordan → emily → luke → myself → avi → troy → ysolde

i had this gut feeling that it was luke and confronted him on several occasions during the last term but luke and avi were so good at covering it up and would always feed me those "wth" stares whenever i accused him of having me for kris kringle. that threw me well off. when it came time for me to guess who bought my present for me after i opened it, i went through at least 4 names before luke exclaimed, "what?!" and started pouting. it made me feel kinda guilty. but then i just laughed at his fireman calendar and it was all okay. thanks luke for the 'w' charm for my bracelet hidden in the stocking. when i initially opened it, i thought he had gotten me a $15 stocking. was actually very impressed, to be honest.

avi got troy a voice changer which just solidified their love for each other as each other's 'chocolate bears'.

we then played mafia, which was definitely another highlight (if you dont know the game, i suggest you skip the next two paragraphs because they'd be quite boring, sawwwwwy!). i have this love for the game.. especially because when i play some other card game like bullcrap, i always lose. i cant lie so when it comes to my turn and i dont have the card needed, i'll just grab the pile and sulk. mafia means having others on your side who help you to lie. morally speaking, that's not any better, but at least others are goin' down with me. daniel's version of mafia is the best i've played and involves roles such as seer (gets to choose to see one person's card at the start of each round and then use that knowledge to influence voting in elimination processes), cupid (chooses two people to 'fall in love' and when one person is killed, the other dies too. nobody knows who they are except for the two lovers) and witch (has one save power and one kill power to use throughout the entire game). the mafia are known as werewolves.

luke and i actually started to team up halfway after getting sick of always getting the civilian cards. whenever he got a 'good' card, he'd feed me a pun to try and hint it to me and vice versa. for example, "wendy, i can't tell you which card i have" or, not as subtly asking, "hey guys, what's a pun for cupid?" during the werewolves' turn to kill. i got cupid once and made luke and i fall in love. i was killed during the 4th round or so, which in turn killed luke and he had to reveal his card as well. to my surprise, he was a werewolf which was devastating...because it meant he chose to kill me. but it turns out the other two werewolves, tyrone and avi, were adamant on stabbing me in the back after i accused the both of them during the last elimination process. luke and i got annoyed so we just ate all the allen's snakes and challenged him to knot one of them. and he did which apparently means he's a good kisser. so girls, line up!

it's a coincidence that cranium was played in both the christmas parties i have been at. the two different editions, however, provided awesome variety. having to convey 'nappy rash' to my team mate in the form of a sketch was not the easiest of tasks but it was so much fun. thanks again, guys, for inviting me, teehehehe.

thanks avi for my strawberry charm, christmas bauble and bunting flags! i've strung them up and they look awesome! thanks mylynm for the blackboard, and mum and dad for suede cobalt pumps. to all my lovely readers: i wish you all a fantastic holiday season! fight til the death tomorrow at boxing day sales and i'll see you all very soon! fankyew for reading, frans!
